Anne-Marie Duff (born in England) is an English actor and narration. Duff's television debuts came during the latter part of 1990, after she was a graduate of Drama Centre London. Her first big role is Fiona Gallagher from the UK show Shameless' first two season. She then played the role of Queen Elizabeth I in The Virgin Queen (2006) and also the lead role in the television series From Darkness in 2015. Duff played roles in movies such as Enigma (2001) The Magdalene Sisters Notes from a Scandal (2006) French Film (2008) The Last Station and Nowhere Boy Before I Go to Sleep (2014) and Suffragette (2015). The roles she played on the screen in Shameless The Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette garnered the BAFTA nominations in the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. She was also given the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her performance in the 2007 television film The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff has been a successful award-winning English actress who has established herself on TV, stage and on the radio. Her fame was largely attributed to her character Fiona Gallagher from the British comedy drama Shameless. Anne Marie has grown into a talented theatre actress after more than a decade of stage performances, which includes working with the Royal National Theatre.
